Multiple event passes with seating plans
In this article
For event series, single tickets and subscriptions or passes for several events are often offered. Example: A concert series consists of 10 concerts, two of which take place on the same day. For this series of concerts, single tickets with a seating plan per concert, day passes with a seating plan for five days of concerts with two concerts each, as well as a subscription or season pass with a seating plan, valid for all 10 concerts, will be on offer.
Sales of these tickets must be synchronised across the different events. For day passes and subscriptions, only places that are still free in all individual events should be available. However, places in the individual events that have already been sold as day passes or subscriptions will no longer be available. Available places in all events can be purchased as single places, day passes or subscriptions.
For events with a seating plan, e-guma offers you the option of synchronising the seating plan across several events.
Requirements
For this function to be set up, the events must fulfil certain requirements:
- All events in question must be set up with a seating plan.
- The seating plan must be structured in the same way for all events concerned.
Set up
The individual events in the series can be set up independently. Also, in the above example, separate events are needed for the subscription and the day passes. It is important that all events and the subscriptions and day passes use the same seating plan layout.
Attendance list
The buyers of the tickets appear on the attendance list for the respective events. Those with a season pass or a day pass do not need separate tickets for the individual events. Therefore, they don't appear on the attendance list for the individual events.
Dashboard
When displaying and calculating the event takeup in the dashboard, the sold subscriptions and day passes in the individual events are not taken into account. Subscriptions and day passes are listed separately in the dashboard.
Check-in
If the tickets are going to be checked in on site, we recommend activating the multiple check-ins function for subscriptions and/or day passes. This means that these tickets can be checked in multiple times at the events. Tickets for the individual events can be checked in once.
As the check-in at the event encompasses several events, check-ins using the e-guma Ticket App have to be via the Events and admissions mask.
Costs
When using the seating plan, external costs are incurred. When selling a subscription or a day pass, the fee for each included event as well as the subscription/day pass itself will be charged.
In the above example, the costs per subscription would be as follows:
(10 + 1) x CHF 0.30 / EUR 0.25 = CHF 3.30 / EUR 2.75.
For a day pass, the cost is:
(2 + 1) x CHF 0.30 / EUR 0.25 = CHF 0.90 / EUR 0.75.
