Categories in the ticket shop for admissions

Categories offer the option of grouping individual admissions in the online shop.

Representation in the online shop

Startpage

On the startpage of the online shop, there is no visual distinction between categories and individual admissions. Go to demo shop

Detail page

If you select the category CABLE CAR, the two different gondola tickets are listed in this example. Go to demo shop   

Set up categories

Click in the menu of your ticketing system Admissions -> Categories and click on the button Add.

Name

Give the category a suitable name (in all activated languages). The name will appear in the online shop as a title on the detail page for the category.

Description

Optionally, you can also add a description to the category (in all activated languages). The description will appear in the online shop on the detail page for the category

Publish

As soon as you click on the grey button and then on the Save button, the category will be published in the ticket shop. The grey button will turn blue

A category only appears in the ticket shop if active admissions have been assigned to this category.

You also have the option of hiding the category in the online shop. By clicking on the Direct URL you can open the category in the online shop and send it to your target group.

Image on home page

Select a suitable graphic for the tile in the online shop (format at least 335 x 280 px).

Image on details page

You have the following three options for the cover image on the category detail page: same image as on home page; different image than on home page (format 1900 x 500 px); or no image.

Add admissions

Click on the blue Add button and select the desired admission. You can select as many admissions as you like. 

Order of admissions within a category

By dragging and dropping (click on the black dots and move) you can determine the order of the admissions within this category.

Remove from startpage

When you are finished, click on the blue Save button. Now a Remove from home page dialogue box appears. Learn more.

Tags

Add tags to the category. These are used for internal management and control of special functions.

Assign a category to admissions

Admissions can be assigned to a category in two different ways.

Via category

In the menu of the e-guma ticket system, select  Admissions -> Categories and open the desired category or set up a new category. Scroll down to the Admissions area. Here you can add new admissions or remove existing ones from a category.

If you add one or more new admissions and click on the blue Save button, a new Remove from home page dialogue box opens. Select whether you want to remove the admission from the home page or not. Usually, an admission is displayed either on the home page or in a category, but an admission can also be present in both places. You can change these settings at any time.

Via admission

In the menu of the e-guma ticket system, select Admissions -> Edit and open the desired admission or create a new admission. In the Category field you can select one or more categories and confirm your selection by clicking on the blue Save button.

If you assign the admission to a category, you can determine whether you want to remove the admission from the start page in the ticket shop. Usually, an admission is displayed either on the home page or in a category, but an admission can also be present in both places.
