Print tickets with thermal ticket printer

Why a thermal ticket printer?

By default, tickets are provided as PDFs in DIN A4 format when sold via e-guma Backoffice. After downloading, they can be printed out on a conventional office printer. This process involves downloading the ticket PDF and printing it via the print function of your PDF application. To speed up this process depending on your on-site requirements, we offer you the option of connecting thermal printers specifically for tickets with e-guma.

You can use different ticket printers in combination with e-guma. The prerequisite is that Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 Pro is used as the operating system on the application device and the printer is installed as a normal printer in Windows.

Other thermal ticket printers

You can also use other ticket printers in conjunction with e-guma. The prerequisite is that the printer is installed as a local printer on the Windows user device. If you already have a ticket printer, please contact us for a compatibility check and joint setup.

Connect thermal ticket printer via e-guma Connect

In order for e-guma to send the tickets directly to the printer, you need the Windows service e-guma Connect, which we provide free of charge. For more info on e-guma Connect, see the article e-guma Connect.

Please note that the use of  e-guma Connect requires a notebook or tablet with the Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 Pro operating system.

Ticket sales in e-guma

There are two different ways and interfaces available in e-guma for ticket sales with a ticket printer:

Ticket POS

You may use e-guma Ticket POS, a reduced one-page interface optimised for touchscreen. You select the number of tickets in the respective category as well as the means of payment and click on Issue. The tickets are sent directly to the printer and printed within seconds.

e-guma Backoffice

If required, you can also access a ticket printer directly from the e-guma back office when selling tickets on site. The ordering process in e-guma can be carried out as usual. When you click on Issue, the order is created and the tickets are printed immediately. On the completion page, the tickets can be printed again if necessary.

On the detail page of an order, the tickets can also be printed again via the ticket printer. You can also download the usual A4 print@home tickets via "Tickets".

This function must be enabled by us on a user level. If you are interested, please send us the following user overview filled in, so that we can create the users for you accordingly.
