Checking voucher balance in the online shop

You and your end customers can check the current balance of a voucher at any time. The balance of a voucher, or the validity of service vouchers, as well as the expiry date can be checked directly in the online shop. The Check balance entry appears in the navigation of the online shop.

Check balance

After entering the voucher code, the current balance and expiry date are displayed for value vouchers. For expired vouchers, the expiry date is currently not displayed.

For service vouchers, the shop displays whether the voucher is valid and how long it remains valid. For expired vouchers, the expiry date is currently not displayed.

Display transaction list

Below the box showing the balance and expiry date, you can display a list of transactions. The list is available for value vouchers and shows redemptions, top-ups and their cancellations, including the date, time and amount. The most recent transaction appears at the top.

Add the tag Onlineshop-balance-check-show-transactions to the voucher type in the advanced settings. Instructions on how to set tags can be found under Edit voucher types.

The tag is suggested when the Check balance page is active and voucher top-ups are enabled.

If you would like the balance and transaction list to be displayed for a service voucher, also add the tag Onlineshop-balance-check-show-amount.
